The whiskers on the face of this pipe s carving on the bowl suggest it to be one of the revered animals in the Incan cosmology, the jaguar, ortorongo. Emerging from the jaguar s mouth is a condor, which makes this pipe incredibly unique. The pipe itself is small and skillfully carved from stone found in and around Peru referred to as Machu Pichu stone. Additional carving appears on the stem.
